AREN'T THESE DOGS ADORABLE?
None of them are up for adoption - they have already been adopted. They are the lucky ones. The truth is they have a sad story to tell. They are here to educate people on the plight of black dogs, especially BIG BLACK dogs. These three were rescued just before their time was up but there are many who aren't so lucky. Even the puppy was scheduled to be euthanized.
Black dogs are the last to be adopted. We don't know why but less than 10% of black dogs who end up in shelters make it out alive.
They are the ones passed by most often when people are considering a new pet. This is a well known fact by rescues and shelter workers but I was amazed at how many people who come to meet my dogs had no idea. So these dogs are here to educate. Please consider a black dog and make a commitment for life.
